Ingredients

Quantity

Ground beef

1 ½ lbs

Onion - diced

1

Garlic cloves (fresh or frozen)

Dry oregano

1 tsp

Dry basil

1 tsp

Salt and pepper

To taste

Lasagna noodles (uncooked)

1 box

Jarred marinara sauce

2 cups

 

1. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until onions just start to brown.

2. Add ground beef to the pan and saute with the onions and garlic until the beef is browned through.

3. In a 9x13 inch pan, pour approximately ¼ cup of marinara sauce into the bottom of the pan so that the bottom is fully covered in sauce.

4. Layer sheets of uncooked lasagna on top of the sauce.

5. Spoon approximately 1 cup of the meat mixture evenly onto the noodles.

6. Spread ½ cup of marinara sauce on top of the noodles.

7. Repeat steps 5-6 until you have used up the meat mixture.

8. The top layer of the lasagna should be noodles with just marinara sauce.

9. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for another 20 minutes.
